ALDINGTON STOCK SALE. ' CHIIISTOH-UIIOH, Jan. 22. ' At Addiugton tlio entries of stock wore but slightly larger than last week, the trouble with the slaughtermen at the freezing works agiaiti preventing the sending of more fat sheep and lambs than wore required for local consumption. Store sheep showed practically no change in prices. Fat cattle were easier. Fat lauilis sol<l almost equal to last week's rate, the easier tone b"erng duo to a larger supply. The fat sheep sale opened at rather easier rates, and towards the end became very dragging. Store cattle were somewhat easier, and pigs woro dull of sale. There- was a good yiarding of store sheep, wethers of various grades ami a lambs forming the hulk of the yard- * ing, the former predominating, in , addition to a fair sprinkling of ewos. ' The attendance wias about up to the average of recent wiles. All for- t ward lots of rape lambs and wethers changed hands at prices about on n par with late rates, but otlier descriptions of lambs were slightly " easier, and purchasers rao less read- - ily found than sit recent sales, and blio same remarks apply, although in a lesser degree, to wethers of medium J class, though somo lots found pur- c chasers at prices quite equal to tlioso , ruling a week earlier. T'air descrjp- i ti(xns of young ewes of a good class, e not many, were on offer, and sold at satisfactory prices, although as tlio breeding iseason lias not yet openixl , the values ruling can scarcely he tak- j on ns ua criterion. Dospite free competition for nearly all the linos offered n fair proportion of tlio yarding failed to realise o\niers' i-csorvos "\ and were passed. IHIIIIIMIII ■IiraaMOMMEBCTB 2
