BACON CORING.
Amongst successfully managed cooperative concerns in Now Zealand a prominent place must he given to 'the concerns for treating sidelines to tho dairying industry. Several profitable bacon-curing businesses readily will suggest themselves to stu dents of such developments. Apropos of this, we note that a big combination, comprising Eltham, Mangatoki, Norman by and Opunake dairy factories, has been effected for the purpose of acquiring and carrying on the bacon-curing business hitherto conducted by the Eltharn and Mangatoki factories with i capital of £30,000. Other factories are expected to join the combination. This is looked upon as tho most important movement by farmers in the district interested. Tho company by its articles of association has power to enter upon a great variety of enterprises on cooperative lines.
