A reward for return of a hatpin with amber head—valued as a keepsake—is offered by an advertiser. The hatpin was lost between Weraroa and Hokio Beach. The County Clerk advertises that (Mr T. King has been appointed poundkeeper at Shannon. A fruit and furniture snle is to be held next Saturday by the Levin Auctioneering Company. The same firm also advertises entries for, its next pig sales, fixed for Friday, of this week. A parcel of drapery, lost in Levin, is advertised for. Messrs Hitchings, Hankins ani Co., Ltd., advertise details of their next wool, skin and side sales, to be held at Lovin on Friday next, at 5 p.m. Au entry of 1000 sheepskins ie included. The firm aleo advertises entries for a pig sale to be held on the same day. It is notified elsewhere iii this issue that the Bon Marche, Palmerston, will be closed all day to-morrow (Tuesday and Wednesday) for the purpose of marking down stock and preparing for the firm's summer sale, commencing on Thursday. Particulars are promised by an inset with our Thursday's issuo. Stock sales aro to be hold this week at Levin. Dalgety and Co. Ltd., and Abraham and Williams, Limited, advertise entries to-day. Messra Walkley Brothers, Levin, announco that their summer clearance sale of drapery, clothing, mercery, etc., commences on Thursday noxt, 16th January. They promise bargains in all departments of their business. Two sections of land are for sale, situated within easy distance . of Palmerston North. Applicants are to write for details to "J.M."
