The market is very irrogular, doubtlees on account of the ap-: proaching holidays. Potatoes foil during the week, but the market today ia bare and an advance is very probable. Onions are in steady demand, with regular weekly supplies 'arriving. Egge ahve advanced and a further riso is likely. Porkers are in fair demand at the reduced rates now ruling. Baconere are slow of sale, suckers are particularly enquired for, and chopeprs a.ro in fair demand. Turkeys are especially wanted, being very scarce. iOthor poultry is realising fair prices, where quality is good, but inferior lines are lower than usual. Strawberries are lower mainly owing to the condition on arrival during the warm weather. Tomatoes are in splendid demand. Apricots, plums and peaches aro now coming forward, and excellent values obtained. During the week wo landed 1200 cases of Californiau dessert apples, practically all of which havo now been cleared at satisfactory prices. Vegetables are about the same as last week, but green peas of inferior quality havo been arriving and selling at nominal prices. New Potatoes.—6s to 8s por cwt. Australian Onions.—£l6 per ton.
