A LEVIN AUCTIONEERING COMPANY. lieport on their pig and poultry sale held at Levin on Friday. A fair yarding came forward, but competition was restricted, owing to tho absence of Wellington buyers, and priccs were consequently lower. A largo number of porkers are now coming on to tho market, due, no doubt, to the fact that the price for bacon pigs has been reduced during the last month and wo do not anticipate any advance until tho meat companies again enter tho market and clear the glut. We quote:—Heavy porkers to 37s lid; medium, 29s Gd; light, 22s to 25s 6d; slips, lis Gd to 16s Gd, weaners, 13s 3d. The demand for poultry is slack at present. Cockerels, lid to Is 8d • liens, lOd to Is sd; ducks, Is 4d to Is lOd. (All at each). We sold a consignment of Hawke's Bay fruit at fair prices. Peaches, 3s to 4s 6d; plums, 2s to 2s Id; apples 2s per half case. "--arswaßciai ——eoawrsr
