A fair yarding came forward, but competition was restricted, owing to tho absence of Wellington buyers, and priccs were consequently lower. We quote:—Heavy porkers to 37s lid; medium, 29s Gd; light, 22s to 25s 6d; slips, lis Gd to 16s Gd, weaners, 13s 3d. The demand for poultry is slack at present.
