WELLINGTON, Deo. 19. , The market is very irregular, doubtless on account of the approaching holidays. Potatoes fell during the week, but the market to- ' day is bare an<l an advance is very probable. Onions are in steady demand, with regular weekly supplies arriving. '" Eggs ahve advanced and a further rise is likely. Porkers are in fair demand at the reduced rates no\v ruling. Baconers are slow of sale, suckers are particularly enquired for, and chopeprs aire in fair demand. Turkeys are especially wanted, being very scarce. iOther poultry is realising fair prices, where quality is good, but inferior lines are lower than usual. Strawberries are lower mainly owing to the condition "on arrival during the warm weather. Tomatoes are in splendid demand. Apricots, plums and peaches are now coming forward, and excellent values obtained. During the- week we landed 1200 cases of Californian dessert apples, practically all of which have now been cleared at satisfactory prices. Vegetables are about the saino as last week, but greon peas of inferior quality have been arriving and Belling at nominal prices.
