Tho market is very irregular, doubtless 011 account of tho approaching holidays. Potatoes fell during the week, but tho market today is hare and an advance is very probkible. Onions are in steady demand, with regular weekly supplies a;rriving. Eggs ahvo advanced and a further rise is likely. Porkers are in fair demand at tho reduced rates now ruling. Baconors are slow r of sale, suckers are particularly enquired for, and chopeprs a.re in fair demand. Turkeys are especially wanted, being very scarce. iOfcher poultry is realising fair prices, where quality is good, but inferior lines are lowor than usual. Strawberries are lower mainly owing to tho condition on arrival during the warm weather. Tomatoes are in splendid demand. Apricots, plums and peaches aro now coming forward, and excellent values obtained. During the week we landed 1200 cases of Californian dessert apples, practically all of which have now been cleaved at satisfactory prices. Vegetables aro about the same as last week, hut green peas of inferior quality have been arriving and selling at nominal prices. New Potatoes.—Cs to 8s por cwt. Australian Onions.—£l6 per ton.
