Levin Beautifying , Society.
e Several members of tho Society are quietly but busily engaged in growing eh rubs and trees for the Society's future work. In this way the operations of the Society can be greatly assisted, and the funds made to go much fiM-thcr than if all plants had to be purchased. The floral fete nnd gymkhnma to be hold in the Levin Park Domain on tho 12th February promises to be a very attractive affair.. A subcommittee has the programme In hand, and a very pleasant afternoon's entertainment may be looked forward to with certainty—if the wo.-ither he propitious. It is proposed to hold an art union in connection with the efforts and several valuable paintings have been promised for the prize list. The art union tickets will also admit to the fete, and the public will have the double opportunity of having a good run for their money and at the miiio time assist in augmenting the funds of the Society.
