Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, liavo been advised by cable from tlieir Lo.iuou Office, uuder date of 19th insv., as follows:— Frozen meat.—Hoof: Demand is l)oor; quotations—prime ox fores, 3«d; hinds, 3|d. Lamb: demand i* poor; prime Canterbury heavy, ojd ; light, 5-Jd. Mutton: Demand is poor; North Island, heavy, 4id. Holders of New Zealand meat are very firm owing to the small supply. Sheepskins.—The sales opened 'firm and prices are higher as compared with the closing rates of last series. On the average short woollcd and shorn pelts, price.? are from id to ;]d higher, and other descriptions id higher. Tallow.—Medium and inferior descriptions are unchanged; for other descriptions iany chango in price is in favour of buyers.
