Pearce's time for the acceptance of the challenges by Towns, Felton and Paddon expired 011 Tuesday night. Pearce states that although he covered Folton's deposit, ho does not intend to row until ho returns from meeting Barry< This means that ho has practically forfeit od the Australian championship. The question who takes the title remains to he solved. Felton challenged from Richmond River, hut withdrew it and sent the challenge to Sydney. Beforo it ar rived Towns and Paddon challenged and each claims priority.
