N'ow ])ota-toee arc now coming in I'ivoly and taking the place of the old crop, whic hi.s almost exhausted. Soecl lines are still arriving and meet ready sale. New Australian Globe onions arc expected next week, and lower values may lie looked for from then on. Eggs continue steady and in good demand. Butter has .still further weakened for separator land dairy lots. Porkers are arriving in larger quantities, and slight] yweaker in price. Cheese is in fai rdemand. Maize is weaker consequent on the arrival of the African .shipments. Wheat mud oats are. unchanged, hut there is a possibility of oats firming owing to a revival of export trade. Chaff is in good demand for prime quality. Strawberries are arriving in large quantities from Aucklan dand Nelson. As a rule the Auckland lots arrive in better order and in larger size. Gooseberries of excellent qualty are now coining in from ITutt and elsewhere. Hhubarb i,s in fair demand. Cabbage and l cauliflower are firmer, with decreased supply, and all other vegetables are selling at good prices. Green peas are- higher to-day, owing to short supply, but larger shipments are expected tomorrow. Potatoes, seed.—Upto-dntes, €7 per ton. Now Potatoes.—lls to 12s Gd per cwt. Onions.—£lfi per ton.
