Mr' Frank Staples, of • Masterten, informed a. Daily Timee reportei that Califiornian thistle growing on his property had heon attacked % a blight which' was killing it. The centres of the plants were withering ■up, and tihere was every indication that the Wight would eradicate the thistle altogether. The attention of the- previous owner of tho jroperty was drawn to the matter fry; Mr Staples, who was'informed that the thistle was not neaddy as rigorous as it was two or three years ago, and that tho blight rra# aindoubtedly killing it.
