[.PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] THIRTY-SIX HOGRS' RAIN. GORE, September 23. The heavy rain which begum on Saturday at midday descended almost continuously for 36 hours. The Mabaura River and tho district streams overflowed tho bands and spread over a largo area of low -lying country. At Mandevillo tlie. Waimoa stream spread over a mile of country with the result a number of sheep we re drowned. Tho , Waikaia Wiaika'ka and Mimihau streams aj'e in flood, and parts of Wyndham township are. flooded, several houses being surrounded with water. The waters, however, are now receding.
