Dalgefcy and Company, Limited, have just received the following cabled advice from their London office TALLOW.—Since our last wire, prices for good colour mutton are 3d higher, also for low and inferior descriptions prices are 3d higher. For other descriptions prices are nucha ngged. FROZEN MEAT.—Beef: The demand for N.Z. beef is better and prices are linn. Quotations: N.Z. prime Ox fores 3]d, per lb, N.Z. prime ox hinds -Id. Lamb: The demand for N.Z. lamb is limited and prices are weak. Quotations :N.Z. prime crossbred Innib Canterbury heavy ojd per lb, lighted per lb, N.Z. prime crossbred lamb North Is.,in-) hravy OJ-d, licrlit s,id. WOOL, SHEEPSKINS, HIDES AND TALLOW SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., a nil Reduced, report:— Our lortnightly sale was held on Friday, when we submitted catalogues consisting of about 35 bales wool, 1200 sheepskins, also hides, calfskins -ml tallow. There was a fair attendance of bnv?r:; who competed keenly for all lots. \\ nol sold at good prices, especially fleece wool, which sold at from 7Jd to Sfjtl for stragglers. Sheepskins wer c about id per lb higher than last sale. Hides and calfskins sold at about level of late rates. Tallow was rather firihrt*. We quote:— CroKs-bred, stragglers coarse. 7Jd to 7.Jd; medium, 7jd to 8:td; lambs, medium. 7jd to Bjd; crutchings, clean light, to > 6j|d; medium, sjd to o:id; scedv, od to ojd; pieces, 4Jd to (3d; locks, 3:|d to Id; dead wool, GJ-d to 73d.
