Dr. Lynian Abbott told a recent luncheon in New York an anti-suf-frage anecdote. "Two suffragettes," .he said, "were talking one evening at the club over a trjime of billiards. " 'How is your husband?' the first asked. " 'Slowly mending, thank you,' the other answered. "'Slowly mending? I didn't know he was ill!'
