SALE OF DAIRY STOCK. The .Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile- Agency Co., Ltd., and deduced report:—We held a most successful clearing on behalf oi Messrs Smith .Bros., at their farm, Knkii road, Uhau, on Friday last, when we offered the whole of their dairy herd ol' (jl) cows, together with a large quantity of sundries and dairy utensils. Buyers wero presont in large numbers from pretty well all over the district, and the sale was one of the most successful ever held in these pnrts. The cows, whicli were a particularly clioico lot, made the splendid average of £9 13s per head, and no doubt considering the size of the herd this price is perhaps a record for the district. Our top price of £1(3 10s was secured for a. very nice Jersey-cross cow, coming to profit ne.srt month. Tho following are a few of our Bales: — Cows (\ugust and September culvers), £16 10s, £15 10s, £14 ss, £14, £13, £12 10s, £12, £11 15s, £11, £1015s, etc.; cows just in made SI2, £9 10s, £9 ss, £9, etc, ; heifers (August and September calvers), £7 Es, £7, £6 12s 6d; store pigs, 295, 235, lUs; slips, 13s fid and 12s fid; brooding sows, £4 10s, £4 Is, £3 17s, £3 15s; sundries and dairy utensils made full market rates,
