Choice Lands at Manakau.

It had been intended to hold the auction in Mauakau Town Hall, but as that building has been burned down tho sale will t.\ko placo at Mr Thompson's homestead, beginning at 1 p.m. Mr Thompson's land comprises 280 acres, subdivided into sections .varying in area from nine to eighty-six acres, and in' addition there will bo offered seven sections fronting the main road and containing ono aero each. This property is widely recognised as being one of tho best along tho Manawatu line, the soil being of exceptional quality, well grassed and watered. The property is within five minutes walk of Manakan railway station, and adjoins the butter and cheese factories.
