AVCREASE IX PIUOE OF HOGGETS. At the Levin stock sales yesterday there were large yardings and good attendances, and competition generally was keen. Messrs Abraham :ind Williams had a big entry and with the exception of one pen of wethers every pen of sheep was sold under the hammer. Prices were in excess of vendors' reserves. A notJceablc rise took place in hoggets. The highest price for fat wethers was IbVi 7d, and for fat awea I'm 2d. A large yarding of cattle was also offered, and good competition was experienced for all lots, and with few exceptions all lines were sold. Fat bullocks made up to £9 7s, and fat cows up to £6 ss. There was a heavy yarding of cattle at the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company's yards, and under the hammer and privately the whole of the stock was disposed of at very satisfactory figures.
