NEW ZEALAND FARMERS' COOPERATIVE DISTRIBUTING 00. WEEKLY REPORT. (Special to the "Horowhenua Chronicle.") WELLINGTON, Feb. 23. We have no change to report in the potato market. Special quality lines only find keen demand. Onions are in fair demand, and Australian conditions, which practically rule the market, are just now such as point to values being maintained, at any rato for a few weeks. The position is, however, uncertain. Eggs are meeting with ready sale, and preserved line shave been sold during the week at Is 2d. Butter is very firm and the market is un-per-supplied with separator and dairy lots. Porkers are in good demand, the prospects being that record prices are going to obtain during the winter. Poultry continues in large supply, with dull demand. The prospects for the honey season are that prices will be much better than last year, owing to short supply Maize has advanced further. Oats are steady. Wheat slightly weaker. Pollard is still exceedingly scarce. The general opinion is that chaff will weaken somewhat shortly. FRUlT.—Ffuit is in heavy supply, and priccs all round are low. The improved quality of fruit now reaching this market, compared to a few years mgo, is a pleasing feature of the trade.
