Some larrikins on Sunday night interfered with the water supply which serves Gall and's buildings, Ox ford street, Levin. Among othei things they stole was the tap at the front of the buildings, and thia morning Mr F. W. Pink was compelled to block up the end of the hose at the rear of the buildings and transfer that top to the hose attachto the shop fronts. A committee meeting of the Horowhenua Mineral Prospecting Association was held in the Borough Council office on Saturday evening. The secretary reported a most successful canvass, for which result he received a unanimous vote of thanks. Although the canvass is not yet completed, there is an amount in hand of close on £80. This, together with the Government subsidy, will make a sufficient sum to start prospecting operations. The secretary was instructed to make the final arrangements as to the Government subsidy and to procure two good prospectors as.soon as possible.
