THE LIVERPOOL MARKET. Monday being New Year's day, there was no sales of, apples in this market. Friday: Apples were in fair supply about 18,000 barrels being offered. The Canadian fruit sliowed considerable improvement in quality and condition, and russets made 13s to 21s 6d; Baldwins, 12s to 17s 3d; Ben Davis, 13s to 17s 6a pet- barrel. GREENINGS.—Those are still coming forward exceedingly poor in quality and appearance, and the best pric-ofi realised were 6s 6d to 9s 6d per barrel. Oalifornian Newtons were slow of sale, and only a small part of the 4,000 boxes catalogued found buyers at 7s to 10s 6d per box, according to quality and grade.
