Messrs Abraham and Williajis, Limited, report: At the Paimexstou North sale on Thursday, 22nd February, we had a good yarding of both sheep and cattle; all classes o* stock met with a keen demand, raid we huvo to report a total ciearanco with the exception of two pens of cattle. We quote:— SHEEP.—4-tooth ewes, 12s to 14s 2d; aged ewes, 5s 3d to 9s (id; rape lambs, 8s 4d; small lambs, 5s 10s; rams, 6a. CATTLE.—3 and 4-year bullocks, £7 13s; 2-year steers, £4 to £4 los; 18-month steers, £3 4s; cows and calves, £3 10s; fat cows ,£5 5s 1 weaners, 245, 27s 6d, to 32s tkl; bulls £2 106 to £3 10s. LEVIN STOCK SALES. Messrs Abraham and Williams conducted their weekly stock sale at Levin yesterday. There was a heavy yarding of sheep, and almost overy pen was full. Competitoin was good. All the sheep were sold, mostly under the hammer, with the exception of two pens. A fair entry of cattle met with s. dragging sale. Buyers did not seem anxious to make purchases. Prices were slightly above the last sale. Now that the meat strike is over, there is likely to he a much more active market. ABRAHAM AND WILLIAMS, LIMITED. Report: At our weekly sale on Friday we offered 36 pens of sheep to a large attendance of buyers. All classes met with a ready sale, and wo cleared the whole yarding with the exception of two pens under the hammer. A good yarding of cattle met with rather a dragging sale, but we made a fair clearance after the sale. Prime ewes (heavy), 12s 9d to 13s; fat ewes (light), lis 7d to lis 8d; store wethers. 12s to 12s 2d; fat and forward wetiiers, 14s Id; 2tooth to f.m. ewes, 10s 7d; forward ewes, 8s Id, 9s 4d, 9s Sd; woolly rape lambs, 10s 4d to 10s 7d; store lamßs, 6s 9<3; oull lambs, ss, 5s 3d to 5s 6d; store ewes, 6s 6d to 7s; Romney rams, 21s to 23s 6d; 3-year steers, £5; 18-month to 2-year steers £3 lis, £3 15s, £4; 15-month steers, £2 15s; fiat cows, £5, £5 2s 6d, £5 12s 8d; springing heifers, £& to £6 10s; heifers, r.w., £4; cows and calves, £3 16s; weaners, 21s to 225; bulls, £2 15s.
