Maxims on Marriage
AN OLD CHEMIST'S ADVICE,
Oliver Franklin Fuller, 80 years old, a wealthy chemist, president of the Fuller Dnug Company, of Chicago, one the eve of his second marriage, to Miss Rebecca Secor, 30 years his junior, has issued the following matrimonial advice to tho world:—
"llctiro from business and from a state of being wed and you begin to die.
"Marriage is the sorcery that rejuvenates a man.
"Choose your partner in life with the same care that yon would choose a business partner.
"Ponce do Leon was foolish to set out on an endless 'search for the Fountain of Youth. He could have found it in the heart of some comely young Spanish girl.
"Not to be h'appily married is to live without joy, blessing, kindness. religion, or peace.
"Marriage is a great institution, but it should never be allowed to interfere with a. man's business. It won't in my case. We'll go away for a. secret honeymoon. I've already ehanged our destination, so that even my two sons find their families won't know where we are going. This morning after I return home you will find me in my office at 7.45 a.m., whero I have always been found for the last 60 voars, and where I will be until I die."
