LEVIN STOCK SALES.
There were-very good yardings at Levin stock salese yesterday, and Messrs Abraham and "Williams did not conclude their sales until a late hour. Messrs Balgety and Co. -had a, good yarding of l>otOi sheep <ind cattle, especially the latter. All clases of young cattle sold well, steers coming forward in very good number. Prices were well up to late rates. There was a good attendance'of buyers and competition •in most classes was keen. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency had a good entry of cattle, but no sheeep came forward. "Weaners ranged from £2 5s to £2 Us 6d; 18month. to two year old steers from £3 10s to £4 ss. Store bullocks fetched prices ranging from £5 18s to £6. and empty cows £2 10s to £4. Springing heifers made £4 10s to £6.

Report: Wo had a small entry yesterday. Medium porkers realised 2/s to 32s 6d; slips 13s fo 15s. Poultry : Christmas geese 5s 2d to 7s per pair, Poultry 2s to 3s per pair.
