Canterbury ojd other than Canterbury J3d per I'b. Beef.- There is a better demand and prices are firm. New Zealand hinds 3ld. New Zealand fores 2£d per lb. Butter.—The market is very firm. There is a <;p;iernl and active demand. The average price for the week for choicest New Zealand is 132s per cwt., Australian 1295, Danish 1375, Siberian 1255. "Argentine 130s. Cheese.—The Market is steady with a very good demand. Tlio average price for the week for finest New Zen land cheese per ewt. is GBs, Canadian 70s. English. Cheddar 90s. Hemp. -The market remains firm, but a limited demand. New Zealand Lfood fair o-rade, per ton, £20; New Zealand cood fair jrrade, £19; fair current Manila, €20, for all positions. The output from Manila tor the week was 2(1,000 bales. Wool.-Tlro market is steady, and a very gon.d demand. Prices firm at last, quotations.
