LPKR PRESS ABeOiXATION.] PEKIN, November 23. A Chinese report mentions that an attempt had been mado to assassinate Yuan Shih Kai. Revolutionaries at Ya Tung compelled the Chinese Customs officials to withdraw.

(Received This Day, 11.45 a.m.) PEKING, November 23. A rebel torpedo boat ran the gauntlet of the Imperialist forts at ■Hankow and steamed full speed while a battery of twelve guns poured shrapnel. A revolutionary cruiser bombarded the lort. killing several persons.
