Mr Percy Hunter, Director of Jinmigration in New South Wales, "/ho visited America to report on the advisableuess of New South Wales having some representation in America, is a passenger hv the Zealandia. Ho states that he has ,-*, mo to tho conclusion that this part or the world would derive great advantage from direct repvosentacion .somewhere in America, preferably for a start in tho Western Stares. and that it should be represented on the Pacific slope immediately. Mr Hunter_ says that there are plenty of immigrants in Great Britain tor Australia aim New Zealand. I ~ey are of a fine type. The .stream of immigration, if properly encouraged, was likely to increase very materially. At present Australia stool ?'n greater favour than any other country in the world for immigration.
