WELLINGTON EDUCATION BOARD LEASES.
SOLD AT LEVIN
Ye.sterday, at the Levin Town Hall, Messrs Hitcliings, Ilankins and Company, on behalf of the Wellington Education Hoard, sold by auction the leases of certain lots of the old •school reserve, facing Salisbury, Path, Chamberlain and Queen streets, comprising fourteen res'dental allotments. They are situated in the centre of the town, adjoining the Town Hall and the Bank of Now Zealand. ihere was only a small attendance. Mr J. G. Hankins, the auctioneer, pointed out that the leases were submitted to auction a considerable time ago, and the whole of them were then taken up. Some, however, had fallen back into the Board's possession, and these were now offered to the public again. The upset prices were very reasonable. Ihe follow ing sections were disposed of: Section 1, J. .Smith', £20; section 2, J. Smith', £10; section 4, A. Wilson, £(j; section 16, Bnlliina« Bros., CI 10s; section 17, bulliinan Bros., £■'>; section 18. Bulli man Brcii, Co. The balance' are with the auctioneers for private treaty, and can be taken at the upset prices which are very reasonable, ranging from CI 10s to £(> per section.
