Sir Joseph Ward stated at Winton to-night that ho proposed to ■hare established shortly >a new systi'in for the payment of money orders -by tho Past Office, by which that department would send out money to the houses of working men and others by letter carriers. Under tin's proposal for example a man in the country, wishing ~to send money to his wife, would ho able, by giring directions to the Post Oifice, to have the money delivered to her direct. This: system lias great possibilities and would meet a real want.
