The King and Queen and other royalties attended the dedication of the King Edward memorial window which has been erected in Sandring'liam church, and which has _ been subscribed for .by royalties, .residents and workers of the Sandringham estate. The window represents "Our Lord' reigning in Glory." An anonymous American has presented a massive silver altar reredos to the Sandringham memorial to King Edward His Grace the Archbishop of Canterbury, preaching, at St. Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh, commended the efforts that are being made after Christian urity—efforts struggling spontaneously and independently into actual life from centres so far apart as Melbourne. Toronto, .Shanghai. New York and Edinburgh. They now began to see the dawning of the day whei? an effort would he mado to finally emphasise things whereon Christians agreed. This was a. distinct change towards an understanding with God, but there must ibe no attempt to rush after what could only eome hy growth.
New ecclesiastical Roman Catholic provinces nave been created at Birmingham ind Liverpool. The Bishops of the new dioceses will bo promoted to Arch-bishops, Dr. Bonnie, Cardinal Arch-bishop of AVo'tminster, retaining precedence over England and Wales.
