As previously mentioned, there are several wayside stations at which one or more of the above trains will stop whenever passengers desire to be set down or taken up. Local residents may ascertain which are the trains which cater for their towns, and may then work out, from the above figures, the time which the train will take to travel from the atatiou immediately preceding. The Auckland espreas reaches Palmersfrm, from the North, at 12.40 p.m. and arrives at Tk\tradon at 4.7 p.m. The Auckland -■> preas leaves Thorndon-at 12.15 }■ > and reaches Palmers-ton at 8.85 p
