Over seventy unions participated in the procession tlkrougSh the streets, which included many fine banners and spectacular trade displays. Enormous crowds lined the route, and filled tlie. Agricultural Grounds where the sports were held. The 220 yds Handicap Was won by Morris. Trembatli (Byds) was beaten in Ibis Uieat by Holland, off 17 yds. The Half 'Mile Handicap 'Was annexed 'by the New Zealand middle distance runner, off 22 yds. _ . _ The Amateur Mile Cycling Championship of New South Wales was won by Cutcliffe in 2min 26 4-ssec.
