The present by-election was caused through the death of Mr Rainy. Mr William Glynne Charles Gladstone is a grandson of the Right Hon. "NY. E. Gladstone, being son of the late Jlr "NV. H. Gladstone, at cue time M.P. for East "Worcestershire. He is 26 years of age. and' was educated at Eton and Oxford.)
