9 — THE LOCAL TIME TADLE. Searching through a railway iirnetaole makes most people irritable. The railway table, like th* polony, oontaina many good things, bat the pablio prefer to hare the one pari ticnlar iood (whether mental or alimentary) desired on a given occasion, not a hatch potch of figures concerning the branch line of Toko, the side track at Waggoirrille, or the cross line to Ne verm arch. The particular figures likely to be of benefit to dwellers between Paekakariki and Palmerston North are what readers of the Horcwhenua Chroniole need most, and for oar readers' convenience those figure* are now appended:—

Some of the above> trains will at intermediate stations, such aa Tokomarn, Oban, Manakan, Ta Horo, ate.; bat there are some which do not. Residents should acquaint themselves with the trains which do stop at their particular stations __

As previously mentioned, there are several wayside stations at which one or more of the above trains will stop whenever passengers desire to be set down or taken ud. Local residents may ascertain which are the trains which cater lor their towns, and may then worn out, from the above figures the time which the trsun will take to travel from the station immediately preceding. The Auckland express reachea Palmerston, from the North, at 12.40 p.m. and arrives at llu radon at 4.7 p.m. The Anckl»n.i Vpress leaves Thorndon at 12.18 y . and reaches Palmerston at 5.58 p
