UNIONIST AND [»y ELECTRIC TBLfiUIUPU—CorfiUUHX.i (.pan puhbs Aisso b ,AyiuM.3 (Received This Day, 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, September 19. The strike arose at the Groat Southern terminus through two men refusing to handle timber consigned' by a merchant whose employees were striking. The newspapers, including the Westminster Gazette, point out the impossibility of allowing rail way men to discriminate what goods shall bo carried. The executive of the Amalgamated Society of Railwayman have arrived in Dublin, and are considering the position. A mass meeting of rail way men at Dublin resolved not to further submit to present degrading conditions, and demanded that the amalgamated executive should call out British fel-low-workers. Mr Rimmer, a strike leader, states that the ■dispute is strictly confined to the question of handling the goods of firms employing non-unionists.
