In the Sims Hardware Novelty Co.'s shop, Levin, a t'hree-days' demonstration of paper bag cookery was commenced yesterday afternoon. The-chief rcasoiii for the demonstration was the dosi re of tli Porfoctfon Oil Stove proprietary to make clear the fact that paper bag cookery can be done as effectively in perfection oil stoves as in any otiher stove oven. The demonstration was given by Airs Robertson, whose apt axi3 practical illustration of the now popular art of cooking fond in paper 'bags* was watolled with keen interest throughout the afternoon. The making of beef tea in a bag wa;s completed in three-quarters of an 'hour, and chops were beautifully 'browned in twenty infinites. As -a general illustration of the effectiveness of the stoves for ordinary cooking, some sponge .sandwiches, sponge- cakes, and milk scones were made and •■found to be excellently baked.
