As previously mentioned, there are several wayside stations at which one or more of the above trains will stop whenever passengers desire to be set down or taken up. Local residents may ascertain which are the trains which cater for their towns, and may than ont, from the above figures, the time which the tmin will take to travel from the station immediately preceding. The Auckland express reaches Palmerston, from the North, at 12.40 p.m. and arrives at llutudon at 4.7 p.m. The Auckland •.• press leaves Thorndon at 12.15 y . and reacheß Palmeraton at 8.^6
