The frosts in August check e<l the- spring growth, a,nd the position wa.s becoming serious from the point of view of both fanners and graziers. Rain commenced to fall shortly lu-foro midday, however, and a steady downpour has developed, with every prospect of continuing tbro-ngl, tbo afternoon.
