Successful Public Auc= tion Sale at Levin.
One of the most successful sales of liigjh-class furniture, pictures, and. valuable ornaments over "held in this district w.as conducted yesterday by Mr T. A. B. Hudson, on account of Mr G. .Blvit'he. who is leaving our town. There was a very large attendance of the public from all parts of the county, and buyers were very much in evidence throughout the whole sale, which tools: from 1 to 5 p.ir. Within a short time after the sale the rooms were dismantled of their contents, and to-dny the property lias a deserted .ap|vara:u-c. Included in the articles sold under blie hammer was a Lino pianoforte, which fetched £03 (an extraordinary nriee for an auction' sale), doc";;--a pair £10 10s, oil painting by Christmas £o os. Ornaments, carpels, and other articles also sold 'at good prices. Certainly the results of Mm sale gc to show that money in Levin and district is more plentiful at present than manv people bare thou.trht it.
