Local residents may ascertain which are the trains which cater for their towns, and may then work out, from the above figures, tha time which the train will take to travel from the station immediately preceding. The Aackland express reaches Palmerston, fr<;m the North, at 12.40 p.m. and arrives at IV radon at 4.7 p.m. The Auckland impress leaves Thorndon at 12.15 y < and reaches Palmerston at 8.85
