The railway table, like tie polony, contains many good things, bat the public prefer to hare the one particular food (whether mental or alimentary) deeired on a given occasion, not a hatch potoh of figures concerning the branch line of Toko, the side track at Waggonville, or the cross line to Nevermarch. The particular figures likely to be of benefit to dwellers between Paekakariki and Palmerston North are what readers of the Horcwhenua Chroniole need most, and for our readers' convenience those figure* are now appended :—

As previously mentioned, there are several wayside stations at which one or more of the above trains will stop whenever passengers desire to bo set down or taken up. Local residents may ascertain which are the trains which cater for their towns, f and may then work out, from the above figures, the time which the train will take to travel from the station immediately preceding. The Auckland express reaches Palmerston, from the North, at 12.40 p.m. and arrives at llutudon at 4.7 p.m. The Auckland press leaves Thorndon. at 12.15 V • &nd reaches Palmerston at 3.35 \j
