The manager and staff'wore on the premises till 11 o'clock last night watching a trial run of the new plant, and when they left everything was apparently safe. No idea ean be found as to tho origin of the fire. The stock and machinery were insured as follows: £500 in the London and Lancashire office: £500 in the Queensland office: and on the building £150 in the United. The estimated loss is not yet ascertainable.
