» [PKR TREBH A.BBOOUTJOII.J WELLINGTON, Tliis Day. The Agricultural Conference today passed the following resolutions: (a) "That the Government he asked to establish a plant for a breeding and experimental farm n t';e South Island;" (b) "that where 1; iid of a suitable nature, and conveniently situated, is offered to the Agricultural Department for experimental purposes by any A. and> V. Association, the Department 'bo urged to subsidise the same £ for £, and provide a superintendant;" (c) "that the Government be asked to take active steps to keep down .noxious weeds on Crown and Native lands, and to offer further inducements for any efficient means of eradication;" (d) "that the Conference views with alarm the rapid and general increase of rabbits through waste and unoccupied lands of the. North Inland, immediately adjoining the east coast rnhbit districts, and urges the Department to insist on more complete means being taken to cope with the evident increase of the p"«t."
