A Taupo native named Iloiiiereri Whakeirchn, on 'behalf of himself, his wife, and nine members of bis family, caused some sensation at a ' Maori meeting at Waa'hio, by prose ntiiur 130,988 acres for purposes of mana in various parts of the Taupo district. The block contains a large ■area of totara. hot and sulphur springs, a great deal of first and second class land, and a large, area of pumice country. NEW PLYMOUTH'S MAYOR. NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day.
