Miss Reid's condition is loss favourable, hut jdho is progressing The King telegraphed from Edinburgh his sympathy and expressed Mm hope that tilio accident was less serious than tiro first report indicated. A MIRACULOUS ESCAPE. Sir George Reid was returning from Church when the accident occurred, lie pluckily look his daughter to a. hospital, a:nd then proceeded to an hotel and informed Lady Reid of the. accident. TTe afterwards learned that his right arm wa.s broken. Sir' Georw is .suffering from a severe shock."* Mis mm sustained cuts on the head and arms. Miss Reid was jammed hcI ween the door and the car end, and was only extricated after the removal of tho door. ICye witnesses declare that it was marvellous anyone escaped alive. The patients have been conveyed bo a nursing home. Tho King has asrain telegraphed to Sir George, who has cancelled his visit to Scotland to witness the opening of tho Thistle Oha.pel, to which ceremony the King s])ecially invited him.
