THE LOCAL TIME TADLE. Searching through a railway vimttacle makes most people irritable. The railway table, lik« the polony, contains many good things, bat the public prefer to have the one particular food (whether mental or ali-' mentary) deeired on a given occasion, not a botch potoh of figures concerning the branch line of Toko, the side track at Waggonville, or the cross lino to Nevermaroh. The particular figures likely to be of benefit to dwellers between Paekakariki and Palmerston North are what readers of the Horcwhenua Chronicle need most, and for our reader*' convenience those figure* are now appended:—
Some of the above trains will at intermediate statioßS, such M Tokomaru, Otuan, M&sakan, T« Horo, etc.; bat ther« are »om« which do not. Residents should acquaint themselves v?ixh the trains which do &top at ftheir particalar statures
As previously mentioned, there are several wayside stations all which one or more of the abov« trains will stop whenever passengers desire to be set down or taken up. Local residents may ascertain which are the trains which cater for their towns, and may than work out, from the above figures, the time which the train will take to travel from the station immediately preceding. The Auckland express reach** Palrnerstxm, fr .m the North, at 12.40 p.m. and nrrivbs at Thorndon at 4.7 p.m. The Auckland express leavea TliGrndon at 12.15 p.m. and reaches Palmerston at 8.85 p.m
