A ballot of the depositors of the Savings Bank of New South Wales resulted in an ovenvhelming majority against amalgamation with the Government Savings Bank, but the Hon. Mr Carniichael declares that the ballot was not representative, and intends to proceed with the Amalgamation Bill.
