N.Z. FARMERS' CO-OPERATIVE DISTRIBUTING 00., _, WEEKLYItEPGiiT. (Special to "Tie Horowh»ni» Chroniole.")
For the conrenienot of tfi« farming commnnity, " The Chronicle " is reprinting from day to day, firing the autumn getson, tHe quotations of prices cj4fe>mt m his&i by the Farmers' ■^g7 f -ribnting tympany :—' i>29^ Potatoes show every sign of a deckled weakening in values, and from reliable reports we gather that farmeirs arc holding back supplies to an extent unwarranted by the season's outlook. We therefore look for a sharp docline during the next month or so. Seed up-to-daites are, however, maintaining their values, and the demand is very good. We specially nnote this variety because it is the most popular in the market, nnd we wish growers to understand that wo can" supply tlhe very best seed potatoes of any other variety. Onions axe very slow of sale. Eggs have fallen considerably, and sales are slow, buyers holding off, expecting a further decline. _ We think however, that values will remain at present q otations for week or so. Vegetables are all in excellent demand, cauliflower especially realising fancy prices. Pumpkins have also reached 1 high values. Both apples and nears are in excellent demand. Butter is exceedingly scarce, and consignments are wanted. During the week we held a special sale of pure-bred pouiltry, but the demand was disappointing, with low values. Porkers continue to come in in largrvquantities each week, and meet brjJpUales.
