At a_ conference in connection with the dairying industry, the speakers declared that the wages demanded by the R ivral Workers' Union could •nwt be paid if any "rofit was to bolost. 'Hie demands of the Union meant a decided riheck to the industry. The Conference appointed a committee to enquire into and report upon the Union demands. Discussion took place on the admitted marked deterioration in the richness of the New South "Wales milk supply in recent years. It was claimed that the result had been brought about by dairymen giving all attention to producing quantity without any regard to quality.
