Local residents may ascertain which are the trains which cater for tbeir towns, and may then work out, from the above figures, tha time which the train will take to travel from the station immediately preceding. The Auckland express reaches Palmerston, fr-,m the North, at 12.40 p.m. and arrives at Thorndon at 4.7 p.m. The AnckLand express leaves Thorndon at 18.15 p.m. and reaches Palmeraton at 8.85 p.m
